What began as a trip to the ER for a headache resulted in a 6 month long hospital stay and multiple amputations. After hours of being ignored for treatable Bacterial Meningitis, Mr. Schwartz found himself clinging to life with Sepsis. This preventable nightmare was due to inattentive hospital staff that failed to properly identify symptoms and promptly administer antibiotics. Although Mr. Schwartz’s outcome was tragic, the lies that followed were even worse.  

These life-altering errors and the hospital’s subsequent cover-up profoundly changed the way Mr. Schwartz views the world. He returned to law with a new perspective and on a mission to connect with patients and families who have nowhere to turn during a medical crisis.
